Today, Woosong University Kazakhstan
hosted a Special Interactive Lecture on the topic “Deepfakes and
Emerging Threats.” The session was conducted by a specialist from the
Financial Monitoring Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan and took place at
1:10 PM in the Conference Hall on the 4th floor. Attendance was mandatory
for students.
During the lecture, the speaker addressed
the growing risks associated with rapid digitalization, with a particular focus
on deepfake technologies and their impact on society, financial systems,
and personal security. Students were introduced to real-world examples of
manipulated video and audio content and learned how such technologies can be
used for fraud, misinformation, and cybercrime.
The interactive format encouraged active
student participation through discussions, case studies, and practical
demonstrations. The speaker emphasized the importance of digital literacy,
critical thinking, and online safety awareness, especially for young people
navigating today’s digital environment.
At the conclusion of the lecture, special
prizes were raffled among participating students, adding an engaging and
motivational element to the session. The event concluded in a lively and
positive atmosphere.

This lecture provided
students with essential knowledge on identifying digital threats and protecting
themselves in the online space. We extend our sincere appreciation to the
representative of the Financial Monitoring Agency of the Republic of
Kazakhstan for delivering an informative and impactful session.
