Woosong University welcomed a distinguished delegation of maslikhat chairpersons and deputies from 20 regions of Kazakhstan for an official visit aimed at strengthening dialogue on innovation, education, and the future of artificial intelligence in regional development.
The visit provided an opportunity for representatives from across the country to gain deeper insight into the university’s international academic environment, educational philosophy, and rapidly developing AI-centered programs. During the meeting, the university leadership presented the institution’s vision for preparing globally competitive specialists capable of contributing to Kazakhstan’s technological and digital transformation.
The university’s Rector, Academic Dean, and Academic Manager delivered comprehensive presentations in both Kazakh and English, introducing the university’s academic system, international partnerships, research opportunities, and practical learning approach. Special attention was given to the university’s focus on artificial intelligence, smart technologies, and project-based education designed to equip students with real-world problem-solving skills from the very first year of study.
One of the highlights of the visit was the presentation of innovative student projects developed under the guidance of Professor Yergali. Despite being first-year students, the participants demonstrated impressive creativity, technical knowledge, and teamwork through projects already addressing modern technological challenges.
The “Aitagoi AI” team, consisting of two female students, introduced their AI-based project showcasing fresh perspectives and innovative thinking in the field of artificial intelligence. Another student group, the “Smart City AI” team, composed of three male students, presented a smart city concept focused on applying AI technologies to urban development and intelligent infrastructure solutions.
The guests highly appreciated the students’ confidence, professionalism, and ability to apply advanced technologies at such an early stage of their academic journey. The presentations reflected the university’s commitment to nurturing future leaders in technology, innovation, and digital transformation.
The visit concluded with discussions on the importance of international education, regional collaboration, and the growing role of AI in shaping the future of Kazakhstan. The event became another meaningful step toward strengthening cooperation between educational institutions and regional leadership while inspiring young innovators to contribute to the country’s technological advancement.
