Students had the valuable opportunity to attend a special lecture delivered by Prof. Edward Kim, a distinguished IT expert and professor at Woosong University. The presentation, titled “Building Your IT Career in Korea,” provided students with practical advice and inspiration for pursuing successful careers in the global IT industry.

Prof. Edward Kim earned his Master of Science degree from Kyungpook National University and began his professional career at Samsung Electronics in 1987. Over the course of more than 34 years at Samsung Electronics, he contributed to the development of various technologies and projects in the fields of operating systems, computer networks, embedded software, and IoT technologies.

During the lecture, Prof. Kim shared his professional experiences from Samsung Electronics and introduced students to the rapid growth and transformation of Korea’s technology industry. He emphasized that the IT field continuously evolves and requires creativity, adaptability, and lifelong learning.

One of the key topics highlighted during the session was the importance of AI Capstone Projects. Prof. Kim explained that participation in practical, project-based learning helps students strengthen their technical skills, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities, which are essential qualities sought by global technology companies.

Currently, Prof. Kim continues to educate future IT professionals as a professor at Woosong University in South Korea, teaching subjects related to Capstone Design, Operating Systems, Computer Networks, and Embedded Software & IoT.
