On November 15, 2025, Woosong University Kazakhstan took part in the Quarterfinal of the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC), one of the world’s most prestigious programming competitions for university students. The contest was held in an on-site format in the city of Turkistan, which served as the official competition venue for our university’s teams.
Participation in the ICPC Quarterfinal is a significant
achievement that reflects the high level of IT education and competitive
programming training at Woosong University Kazakhstan, while also contributing
to the university’s growing academic reputation on a national level.
At the 1/8 qualification stage, a total of 276 teams from
universities across Kazakhstan competed in the contest. Following a rigorous
selection process, 177 teams advanced to the Quarterfinal, including teams
representing Woosong University Kazakhstan, demonstrating strong
problem-solving skills, teamwork, and algorithmic thinking.
The ICPC challenges participants to solve complex
programming tasks under strict time constraints, fostering critical skills such
as analytical thinking, collaboration, and efficiency - key competencies for future IT
professionals.
