Woosong University Kazakhstan Holds Freshmen Capstone Design Project Final Presentation

Turkistan, June 10, 2026 - The Department of AI & Data Science at Woosong University Kazakhstan successfully held the Freshmen Capstone Design Project Final Presentation on June 10, 2026. The event brought together faculty members and academic staff, who served as judges to evaluate the students’ projects and recognize their achievements.

Eight finalist teams, selected through a preliminary evaluation process, presented their innovative projects to the judging panel. Following the presentations, the panel selected the top three teams based on the creativity, feasibility, and practical impact of their ideas.

The finalist projects addressed a wide range of real-world challenges through the application of artificial intelligence and digital technologies. The topics included agricultural solutions, recycling and waste management systems, real-time product location services, university management platforms, and other innovative technologies designed to improve everyday life.

The winning teams were announced as follows:

• First Prize: DaIly TAGAM (K-Bridge)

• Second Prize: SelhozAI (TTS)

• Third Prize: AI Construction Company (SANZGYE)

The capstone project was organized under the supervision of Professor Jungmin Seo (Anton) from the Department of AI & Data Science. The award ceremony was conducted by Dean Bongkyun Kim, Professor Yergali, and other faculty members.

Through this project-based learning experience, students were able to apply the theoretical knowledge acquired in the classroom to practical challenges while enhancing essential competencies such as analytical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork.

The Freshmen Capstone Design Project provided students with valuable opportunities to develop industry-relevant skills, including project management, structured problem-solving, collaborative work, and innovative thinking. These experiences will contribute to preparing Woosong University Kazakhstan graduates to become highly skilled professionals equipped to meet the demands of rapidly evolving industries.
