K-Beauty Comes to Campus: Woosong University Kazakhstan Students Enjoy a Unique Beauty Workshop

Students at Woosong University Kazakhstan recently experienced a refreshing break from their academic routine through an engaging K-Beauty Workshop organized on campus.

The event brought together Korean and Kazakhstani students in an interactive session dedicated to Korean beauty trends, skincare, makeup, and hairstyling. Three Korean students majoring in Beauty Studies shared their expertise and introduced participants to the latest beauty trends popular in South Korea.

The workshop began with an informative presentation covering Korean skincare routines, makeup techniques, and current K-Beauty trends. Students were eager to learn about the secrets behind Korea’s globally recognized beauty industry and actively participated throughout the session.

Following the presentation, the Korean beauty students conducted live demonstrations, showcasing both makeup application techniques and hairstyling methods. Participants had the opportunity to observe professional techniques up close, ask questions, and receive practical beauty tips directly from students specializing in the field.

One of the highlights of the event was the open and interactive atmosphere. Throughout the workshop, students asked numerous questions about skincare products, daily beauty routines, Korean makeup styles, and hair care. The presenters enthusiastically shared their knowledge and personal experiences, creating a dynamic cultural exchange between Korean and Kazakhstani students.

The event was organized by Akniyet Berdibayeva from the university administration, who aimed to create a unique and enjoyable experience for students beyond their regular academic activities.

Many students expressed their appreciation for the workshop, noting that although they study Artificial Intelligence and IT-related fields, beauty and self-expression remain topics of interest for everyone.

“This was something completely different from our usual classes. It was fun, interactive, and gave us a chance to learn about Korean culture in a practical way,” shared one participant.

The K-Beauty Workshop demonstrated that university life is not only about lectures and assignments - it is also about cultural exchange, creativity, and building connections across different fields of interest.
